ABSTRACT
Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) have has become an established, accepted and widely used open format for representing and exchanging BIM information. Nevertheless, experts – including the BIMForum and buildingSmart – believe that in our current practices it is widely underused relative to its capabilities and its potential. The reason for this is the lack of awareness, education, and experience with working with IFC. In this talk Dion Moult will make beginners and experts more familiar with IFC, its capabilities, application and use in today’s AEC/O environment.
