This webinar will re-introduce the BIMForum to the community of practitioners in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction/Owner (AECO) and vendor -industry. We will showcase the various activities and working groups that constitute the BIMForum and invite the wider community to participate in our work of advancing our industry. In the last two decades technologies have demonstrated the power of automation throughout the design-build-operate life cycle of a facility. At the same time, the fragmented nature of our industry creates challenges for fully leveraging already available and future technologies for a wide range of projects. The BIMForum aspires to be the place where practitioners can learn, discuss, plan and implement technology solutions that integrate the efforts of the various project participants and create significant value for our projects.

As an example of our work, we will re-introduce our work on the Level of Development (LOD) – Specification and provide a detailed update on its state and application our industry. This will include updates on:

• Building systems covered by the LOD Specification
• Integration of the LOD Specification into international standardization efforts
• Examples of application of the LOD Specification
