Artificial Intelligence in Design and Construction
The Architecture Engineering Construction and Ownership (AEC/O) industry is a target rich environment for development and improvement. Many tasks and processes are to some degree specific to a project and have been elusive for the introduction of deep automation. BIM has streamlined the design process to a degree, but in general building design, coordination and construction planning remain manual tasks.
The promise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is to automate complex tasks that traditionally could only be done by human operators. In the past few years AI has seen tremendous developments. We are currently seeing the emergence of a first generation of AI tools that are being used in our industry.
In our webinar we want to discuss the promise, the opportunities, the realities, and implications of AI in our industry. We will show practical examples that are available today, and discuss what we anticipate for the future. We will also discuss how AI may change our work and how all of us can benefit from these exciting developments.
