As we begin our journey of hosting the US chapter, we will be offering education on how to implement openBIM in everyday processes in AEC.
But before we start thinking about openBIM, we must be doing BIM – and doing it well. Industry professionals can get started by taking the Certificate of Management in Building Information Modeling (CM-BIM) offered by AGC.
BIMForum also offers educational webinars that are free for members. Check our schedule for the latest events.
BIMForum will strive to be the hub for US-based industry organizations who wish to drive improvement in their sector and coordinate the efforts with the international community.
We will also seek to be the bridge between the design community, constructors, product manufacturers, software developers, owners, and regulatory agencies.
For users of openBIM standards, BIMForum will provide access to a network of experts who will help you understand the implementation of these standards in modern BIM software applications.
We will also continue to develop best practices and industry reference standards such as the LOD Specification to support improved implementation of building information modeling techniques.
Lastly, these efforts need your involvement. BIMForum is a non-profit organization run by volunteers from every sector of the AECO industry. You can monitor updates from our website or join the conversation on our LinkedIn Group.
